4D for Mobile Tutorial – Include relations
The data of your application are linked together by two types of relationship: Many to One or One to Many.
In this blog post, we will show you how to include relations. With 4D for Android and 4D for iOS, you can easily navigate between your related data. We automatically generate the transition between views in your application.
Relations in the Data Explorer
The Data Explorer allows you to view, sort, and query your database data in a modern, simple, and elegant web interface.
Good news. The data explorer is evolving. You can now visualize the relation between your data.
4D for iOS: Energize your apps
4D for iOS already lets you take advantage of your database relations to create dynamic and complex apps.
But many of our 4D for iOS developers have asked for more, and once again 4D listened! 4D v18 R6 includes splendid features for relation interactions.
Let’s delve into the details!
Manage relations with ease in 4D for iOS
In a previous version of 4D for iOS, we introduced Many to One relations. 4D v18 completes the list of relations available in 4D for iOS by allowing you to easily build the most complete apps with the most engaging user experience you can get on a mobile phone!
N to One relations with 4D for iOS
As of 4D v17 R5, 4D for iOS supports N to One relations so you can use descriptive relation names and simplify defining your project structure. You can visualize all of your table relations directly in the Structure section of the Project Editor.
