Tips DIALOG COMMAND INSTEAD OF MODIFY SELECTION

There is an old saying: “Old is gold” meaning that new ways are not as good as the old ones. But the new way to say is “Old is gold but new is platinum“. We are not referring to jewelry here but two of 4D commands: MODIFY SELECTION and DIALOG.

No one can deny that MODIFY SELECTION is intuitive when it comes to listing current records in a list or modifying a field record. Yet, it’s a little bit old fashioned. That’s why it’s time to embrace the new way of doing by using a List Box of type selection inside a dialog. This new way of doing does exactly the same thing from a functional point of view, except that the final result is way more elegant.
